Piet Botha – reisiger en teensinnige legende

Suid-Afrikaanse musieklegende Piet Botha en Jack Hammer het onlangs saam met Southern Gypsy Queen in Potchefstroom opgetree as deel van die Tassenberg Legends Live-reeks. Ek het met Piet gesels oor Jack Hammer se jongste CD, Highway 13, en die stand van die musiekbedryf in Suid-Afrika.

Die verkleurmannetjie, die mite en die storieverteller

Chris Chameleon het die afgelope naweek teruggekeer van ‘n suksesvolle toer van Nederland en België. Ek  het hom ingewag en uitgevra oor die toer, groupies en sy pas-vrygestelde CD, Made Available.

Love or something like it

Dis so lekker om soms `n boek te ontdek wat jou onkant vang en sonder te veel moeite heeltemal oorrompel. The History of Love deur Nicole Krauss is sonder twyfel so `n boek.

`n Kort opsomming van die verhaal -

Leo Gursky is trying to survive a little bit longer, tapping his radiator each evening to let his upstairs neighbour know he’s still alive, drawing attention to himself at the milk counter of Starbucks.
